Mu is watching us through the mist.

Everything is recorded, eternal in the mists of Seon and Mu.

You are no exception, as long as you have touched the mist. You would do well to remember that.

The building in the back, Asrahan, is managed by the Eye of Mu. It's built where the mist from all over Seon gathers.

The mist that flows in from all over White Ocean and gathers in Asrahan is sent to each district to be used, and then it returns to the mist of nature, back to the arms of Mu.

Everything comes from Mu and goes back to Him... This is the harmony that the Eye of Mu seeks to preserve.

As the celebrant of the Eye of Mu, I have a duty to keep Clearmist safe, for that is the will of the God of Mist Mu.

So... please be careful. My priorities are first and foremost Clearmist and its people, whom Mu wishes to protect.

I believe in Shume not just because she's the Keeper of the Land.

As Celebrant, I know what it's like to be a Keeper of the Land.

They have a really strong sense of mission, and they're really good at carrying out their duty.

In Seon, recording and keeping a promise carries a lot of weight.

Shume may not be one of them, but she does have the most important quality of all:

faith.

A lot of people take faith for granted, not realizing how hard it is to simply decide to believe.

But believing in someone, or in a god, is not that simple.

It's being able to move toward your beliefs, even when everything points to the contrary, in any given situation.

In a world where even the reality in front of you is blurred by the mist, it's rare to find someone who can make their way with faith alone.

If someone told you that this Clearmist was all a lie, an illusion, would you easily believe it?

But Shume will believe it if it's the truth she needs to believe. And she'll stick with it, no matter what anyone says, even if it means being betrayed. Even if it means being mocked.

In that sense, she's stronger than anyone I've ever seen.

Shume also reminds me of what it means to have faith.

Are you asking if I'm feeling well?

Of course—ah.

I see you've already heard about it on the Misty Plateau. Shume... I told her to be careful what she said.

Well, we've already crossed swords, so any more words would just be a clumsy lie.

...It's not a major illness, so to speak.

Actually, it wasn't, until the God of Mist fell asleep.

Celebrants are naturally born with the power of the God of Mist Mu. Or perhaps it's those who are born with the power that become celebrants.

Either way, I, as a celebrant who sees the God of Mist in person, am equally endowed with great power,

which allows me to be in close proximity to the God of Mist. That in turn turns a minor ailment into a life-threatening illness.

Perhaps the previous celebrants didn't realize that Mu's condition would affect them as well. There hasn't been a case like this since the Cloudless Night

(Then, the God of Mist...)

Cladis-NFace2.png Cladis, Priest of the Mist

You already know that, don't you? But you'll have to keep your mouth shut

because some things are... better left unspoken. And I wouldn't hesitate to fight you again to keep the peace.

Hah hah. I'm the one fighting death, yet you're the one with the grim expression,

as if to ask if I blame my god.

No, I don't. I'm a follower of Mu, grateful for Seon's mists. No believer resents their god, we only follow.

It's just a shame that even that is no longer allowed. And... that I will never see you, Shume, or this Clearmist again.

...That's it.

I'll consider it an offering to the God of Mist.
